Canolfan Pentre CIO is a community-led charity based in Pentre, Rhondda, dedicated to improving the quality of life for local residents. Its mission is to combat loneliness and social isolation by providing a welcoming community hub that promotes wellbeing, inclusion, learning, and social connection.

The organisation offers activities, support services, educational opportunities, recreational programmes, and partnerships with other voluntary organisations to meet local needs. As set out in its charitable objectives, it provides and maintains facilities for meetings, classes, leisure activities, and community engagement for all residents without discrimination, helping to strengthen community resilience, support vulnerable people, and improve overall social welfare.

Everyone is welcome at Canolfan Pentre, we like to think of ourselves as a home from home, where you are greeted with a warm smile and a helping hand when needed.

Mental wellbeing is also a priority at the centre, we have successful groups that offer a variety of programs, these groups change quarterly so please contact the centre for further information.
